Privacy Policy
Transparent data practices for everyone on GigWorker.
1. Data Collection
GigWorker collects necessary information to provide marketplace services, including name, email, credentials, and verification documents for freelancers. We only collect what is needed to maintain trust and security.
2. Account Information
We provide a transparent account system for every user where they can view their earnings and expenditures in a secure ledger. Access to this information is restricted to the user and the platform administrator.
3. Vetting & Identity
For freelancers joining our platform, our team background-checks and verifies your identity through the documents you provide. This data is stored securely and never shared with other users.
4. Secure Messaging
Messages between customers and freelancers are handled privately through our messaging system. GigWorker may only access these messages if needed to resolve disputes or investigate fraud.
5. Privacy Controls
GigWorker protects your contact information. Direct contact details like email or phone are never displayed publicly on user profiles. All inquiries and hiring must be initiated through our secure 'Hire Now' system.
6. Manual Payment Security
All payment and payout requests are processed manually by our administrator to ensure the highest level of trust and fraud prevention for all marketplace participants.
